Healthcare Management
The Healthcare Management Program provides students with skills they need to support the business side of a complex healthcare organization. Regulatory and policy changes create an ever-changing environment in office operations. Students are exposed to healthcare management, human resources, leadership, and an optional tract for intensive study of healthcare billing and/or coding, aligned with national certification standards.
Graduates are in-demand and have a variety of career paths to pursue:
- Front-office clerical and office management
- Hospital administration
- Sales and marketing
- Customer care
- Billing, coding and information technologies
After initial orientation courses, the Healthcare Management Associates degree from OSU-OKC allows students to choose a track to most closely align with education and career goals.
According to the AAPC (see video on career facts below), there is a 9% job growth for medical billers and coders with starting salaries—and minimal experience—for certified billers beginning at $48,846 and for certified coders beginning at $51,582. The A.S. in Healthcare Management degree program is designed to prepare students to sit for one of these certification exams.
Leadership Track
For students who want to continue their education after graduation from OSU-OKC, the leadership track may be for you.

According to 2022 Bureau of Labor and Statistics report, graduates can land jobs that have salaries around $47,180!
