Direct Loan Information
Direct Loan Entrance Counseling
First-time borrowers of Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans are required to complete entrance counseling. This requirement helps students understand the process of applying for the loan, how to manage educational expenses and informs students of their rights and responsibilities as a borrower. Students will complete entrance counseling online here. Students should allow at least 30 minutes to complete this online requirement.
Direct Loan Exit Information
Borrowers who graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment are required by law to complete loan exit counseling to help you understand your responsibilities when repaying your federal loans. OSU-OKC encourages borrowers to complete Exit counseling online here. Borrowers who do not or will not complete Exit Counseling online should review the Direct Loan Exit Counseling Guide and complete the Student Contact Information and Acknowledgment sections and submit copies to OSU-OKC and your loan servicer.
