Marketing and Communications

Media Relations

OSU-Oklahoma City offers a variety of excellent programs taught by outstanding individuals. In an effort to project our excellence in a concise manner, faculty and staff should contact the Office of Marketing & Communications to discuss media opportunities.

It is the policy of OSU-Oklahoma City that only the President and the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications, or those authorized by the above, are designated to dispense press releases, contact the media or answer media inquiries. Also, should media representatives make an unscheduled stop on campus, the Office of Marketing & Communications should be contacted immediately.

Occasionally, the media may contact the Office of Marketing & Communications for a representative to participate in an interview regarding a particular area of expertise. In most of these situations, a representative from the Office of Marketing & Communications will also attend the interview to provide support as needed and will provide any preliminary information in preparation for the interview.

Image and Publications

It is important to remember that often the first impression prospective students, community leaders and alumni receive is through OSU-Oklahoma City publications. Whether it is a class schedule, calendar, fax, e-mail, advertisement or our Web site, it is vital we send one clear and concise message.

Any item that is produced with the OSU-Oklahoma City official name and / or logo must be approved by the Office of Marketing & Communications. This includes but is not limited to: press releases, mass mailings, brochures, newsletters, promotional items, apparel, web sites, and advertisements.

How do I make a Communications Request?

Step 1:
Complete a Communications Request Form.

Step 2:
Bring your completed form, with your Vice President’s signature, to the Office of Marketing & Communications, located in AD 200. A communications representative will review your request and provide guidance to produce the best possible product that will help you market or generate awareness of your project and positively reflect the image of OSU-Oklahoma City.

Step 3:
The Office of Marketing & Communications will process your request and work with our in-house Creative Services as well as secure any outside vendor needed to complete your request.

Step 4:
The Office of Marketing & Communications will provide a draft copy of your request.

Step 5:
Once you have reviewed the provided draft, you will return it the Office of Marketing & Communications for changes, corrections and final completion.

Step 6:
Your request is completed and delivered to you.
