Defensive Driving program for Teens and Young Adults
Presented by OSU-OKC’s Precision Driving Training Center
The OSU-OKC Precision Driving Training Center recognizes the significant need for defensive driving skills for teen drivers in our community.
This
is a one-day, hands-on course developed to provide defensive driver training techniques
to teen drivers. Students will engage in the Alive@25 classroom curriculum then
complete hands-on vehicle training at the OSU-OKC Precision Driver Training.
Alive@25 is an excellent follow-up to the Defensive Driving Program for Teens and Young Adults!
Each driver will be taught the following modules:
Classroom:
- Unsafe Driving Behaviors
- Safety Restraints
- Personal Responsibility
Hands-on:
- Shuffle Steering
- Backing & Cornering
- Off-road Recovery
- Collision Avoidance
- Skid Avoidance & Recovery
Course Information:
- One-day courses held monthly
- 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Limited to 12 students
- Cost is $125, with personal vehicle
- Insurance Reduction Certificate awarded upon completion
Participants must be between the ages of 15-1/2 & 21, have basic driving experience and a learner’s permit.
