Project SOAR's Mission

Project SOAR, also known as Student Support Services (SSS) is a TRIO program federally funded by the Department of Education. The program goal is to improve the retention and graduation rates of targeted students. The main emphasis of the program is to provide a supportive environment where students can come for assistance in meeting their unique academic, personal, career and social needs.

 

Who Qualifies?

You must be enrolled as an OSU-Oklahoma City student and in need of academic support. In addition, you must be classified as one of the following:

 
  • First-generation college student (neither parent has a four-year college degree)
  • Financially disadvantaged
  • Disability

How to Receive Services

It's simple! First, visit our office in the Student Center, Room 190 (It’s located within the Counseling & Assessment Center). Second, fill out an application form and meet with one of our counselors. Third, the counselor will develop and recommend the appropriate services available.
