EMS Refresher Course at OSU-OKC

OSU-OKC’s EMS Refresher Course is designed to provide current information that is helpful in providing quality patient care in the emergency medical service setting. The content of the course is based upon the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

 

Completion of this program will satisfy all training required for recertification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians of the following certifications:

 
  • Emergency Medical Responder: 16 hours
  • Emergency Medical Technician: 40 hours
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician: 50 hours
  • EMT-Intermediate (Oklahoma only): 36 hours refresher + 36 hours CEUs Required. This course offers 60 Hours Only!
  • Intermediate EMT: Requires 72 hours of CEU – Maximum 60 hours with this course
  • Paramedic: 60 hours
 

Course content is structured to satisfy all formal State of Oklahoma core curriculum, transition courses and continuing education requirements. Registrants may choose to complete all or part of the program.

 

Course dates and cost:

  • EMR: Saturdays, January 13 & 20 - $85
  • EMT: Saturdays, January 13, 20 & 27 and February 3 & 10 - $160
  • Intermediate EMT: Saturdays, January 13, 20 & 27, February 3, 10, 17 & 24, and March 4 - $260
  • AEMT: Saturdays, January 13, 20 & 27, and February 3, 10 & 17 - $185
  • Paramedic: Saturdays, January 13, 20 & 27, February 3, 10, 17 & 24, and March 4 - $260
