Basic RiderCourse(SM)
The Basic RiderCourse(SM) is designed to be a safe, effective,
and enjoyable training event for participants who have little or no riding experience.
Learn the physical and mental skills important for operating a motorcycle.

- Introduction to motorcycling
- Street strategies to avoid trouble and stay safe
- Effects of drugs and alcohol on driving
- How to maneuver your motorcycle
- Avoiding obstacles – collision avoidance skills

Basic RiderCourse Dates
Experienced RiderCourse(SM)
Even if you have been riding for some time, there’s always something new to learn.
Enhance your riding and mental skills needed for survival in traffic.
- One-Day Class
- Use your own motorcycle and helmet
Instruction includes:
- Safe riding
- Rider responsibility
- Managing risks
- Effects of drugs and alcohol on driving
- Techniques of managing traction, controlling rear-wheel skids, stopping quickly,
and cornering and swerving
- And other topics…
Pre-requisite: Six months driving experience
Cost: $75.00 (student rides personal bike)
Experienced RiderCourse Dates
Note: All motorcycle RiderCourses(SM)
require the operator have proper riding gear, which includes helmet, eye protection,
full-fingered rider gloves, long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants and over the
ankle footwear. Gear must be worn at every session. (Shoes or boots with leather
soles are not recommended.)

Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
Facility
RiderCourses(SM) are taught on a one of a kind secure, enclosed
driving facility at the OSU-Oklahoma City Precision Driving Training Center. The
facility is closed to all public traffic.
