Become a dietetic technician!

Program graduates are prepared to sit for the national registration exam to become certified as a Dietetic Technician, Registered.


Trained in food and nutrition, you will work independently or in teams with registered dietitians in a wide variety of employment settings.


Associate degree course work for dietetic technicians includes a variety of classes in food and nutrition sciences, foodservice systems management and a range of general science courses.


Work independently, or as a team member under the supervision of a registered dietitian, in a wide variety of employment settings – including healthcare, business and industry, community/public health, foodservice, and research.
