Criterion Five –
Engagement and Service
In Criterion Five, OSU-Oklahoma City details its engagement with and service to
a rapidly expanding “community” and an extremely diverse constituent
base. The institution identifies partnerships focused on shared educational, economic
and social goals. Degree program advisory committees, whose members are leaders
and professionals from all OSU-Oklahoma City service areas, provide input on workforce
needs and expectations. This advisory committee membership reflects OSU-Oklahoma
City’s excellent reputation and working relationship with business and industry.
Engagement activities regularly bring the community to campus for public events
and connect the campus and its students with the community academically through
practicums, internships and clinical experiences, and socially with volunteer opportunities,
K-12 programs, and service learning options.
