Criterion Three –
Student Learning and Effective Teaching
Teaching and learning is the heart and soul of higher education and the primary
mission of OSU-Oklahoma City. HLC/NCA Criterion Three focuses on this teaching and
learning process to ensure that our campus not only provides the highest quality
of instruction in all of our classes, but that we also demonstrate exactly what
our students have learned. Using the latest techniques and technology, our well-qualified
full-time and adjunct faculty not only teach our students, but they also actively
involve them in the learning process through hands-on, practical experiences. Through
systematic assessment of student mastery of course and program objectives, faculty
can document student learning and use the results of these assessments to continuously
improve OSU-OKC programs.
