Biography

Marcel Maupin has a B. S. in Education – Math major from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) and taught Mathematics courses at the University of Mo –Rolla while earning her Masters degree in Applied Mathematics from UMR. Marcel taught two years of high school math in Missouri, and worked as an adjunct Mathematics instructor at Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State) in Kirksville, Missouri, while taking classes toward a second Masters degree in guidance and counseling. She came to Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City in 1982 as an instructor in Mathematics and has taught here since that time, currently holding the rank of Associate Professor. She maintains membership in several professional organizations: Mathematical Association of American (MAA), American Mathematical Association of Two-year Colleges (AMATYC), Oklahoma Mathematical Association of Two-year Colleges (OKMATYC), and American Statistical Association (ASA). She is currently the secretary-treasurer of OKMATYC. Marcel has written test banks for several College Statistical textbooks and reviews new textbooks for various publishing companies.
