Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling

The OSU-Oklahoma City Associate of Science in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling degree provides students with a basic knowledge of chemical dependency and its treatment. This degree program can also prepare students for continued education in chemical dependency or a related field at a four-year institution. The degree integrates into the University of Central Oklahoma’s Bachelor of Arts in Sociology-Chemical Dependency degree. It also partially integrates into other related programs at four-year colleges and universities depending on the curriculum requirements.

 

Crime Victim/Survivor Services

Americans identify crime as an ongoing problem and they are becoming more aware of its effects on them and their community.  OSU-Oklahoma City realizes the need for trained professionals in the areas of crisis management and victim advocacy.  The Associate of Applied Science in Crime Victim/Survivor Services degree provides the education and skills necessary for a career in victim advocacy. The degree will also provide an opportunity for those currently working in the field to maintain and/or upgrade their education and training.
