Jason Stone's† Biography:
Mr. Stone serves as the Division Head of Arts & Sciences at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City.† Mr. Stone teaches Communication and Public Speaking skills at OSU-OKC.† Mr. Stone has over 15 years of work experience in higher education.† During that time, Mr. Stone has been an administrator, tenure track faculty member, lecturer, and adjunct.† Mr. Stone's experience includes, teaching, curriculum design, publishing, matriculation sequencing, program and certificate construction, employee supervision, budget management, gift solicitation, special event planning, grant oversight, and organizational culture creation.† Mr. Stone is a thought leader in online education at OSU-OKC and beyond.
Mr. Stone is pursuing a doctorate of philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Oklahoma State University with an anticipated completion date of spring of 2017.† Mr. Stone is currently ABD.† In fall of 2013, Mr. Stone completed a post-masterís certificate from the Oklahoma State Regents in online education.† Mr. Stone is a certified Training and Development Specialist through the Association for Talent Development and University of Oklahoma Outreach.† Mr. Stone is also a certified Blended Learning Specialist through Educause and the University of Central Florida Outreach.
Mr. Stone earned a Masterís degree from Ball State University in Communication Liberal Arts Studies where he received a teaching and debate coaching assistantships.† Mr. Stone received a Bachelorís in Arts in Speech/Communication from Southeastern Louisiana University where he was Captain of the debate team, an All-American debater, and a recipient of the Presidentís Excellence Scholarship. During his time as a competitive debater and public speaker, Mr. Stone won over 200 individual and team awards.†††

∑ OSU-OKC faculty senate, serving as a Senator and Chair of the Academic Policy and Student Affairs Committee
∑ American Association of University Professors, OSU-OKC chapter, serving as President
∑ The Oklahoma Association of Developmental Education, serving as President and later webmaster
∑ Greater Oklahoma City YMCA, serving as a youth sports coach
∑ Oklahoma Blood Institute, donating over two gallons of whole blood.
Mr. Stone has won numerous awards for teaching, adult education, and training from a variety of organizations. Most recently Mr. Stone was named a finalist for the Oklahoma Medal of Excellence in Teaching and Administration in 2012 and 2013 from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
Private Sector Experience:
Mr. Stone also has experience in the private sector, where he consulted with unions, academic organizations, non-profits, and political candidates.† In addition to various consulting engagements, Mr. Stone also has experience in due diligence research, commercial real estate acquisition, and technical writing.
Mr. Stone has produced technical writings for Column Financial, First Union Bank, Paine Webber, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, GE, Capital Real Estate, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase Bank, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Wells Fargo, Trammell & Crow, Greenberg Traurig and many other Fortune 500 Companies and respected Law Firms.
