Each year, the Family Fund Luncheon is held on campus to celebrate OSU-Oklahoma City faculty and staff who have contributed to the campus and to provide the opportunity for others to get involved.
No university today can depend upon tuition increases alone to meet program needs. Family Fund contributions are often used to supplement budget needs and provide the financial resources necessary to ensure OSU-Oklahoma City’s high level of educational quality.
We invite you to help us achieve our goal of 100% participation of OSU-Oklahoma City faculty and staff in the Family Fund. Your contribution, in any amount, may be made by payroll deduction or through a one-time donation to the OSU Foundation.
Please know that any gift, in any amount, makes a difference for OSU-Oklahoma City! You may choose to make a gift to a specific department or a special program (please see back cover for a listing), or you may want to provide unrestricted dollars to allow for flexible use whenever a golden opportunity presents itself to the campus.
If you have questions about how to become a part of the Family Fund, please contact Institutional Advancement in AD200 B & C or at extension 327.
What is the Family Fund? The Family Fund is an opportunity for faculty and staff to increase support of our programs and our students by making a charitable contribution to the campus. Your gift to the Family Fund is tax-deductible.
How much do I have to contribute? Any contribution is appreciated. You might choose a payroll deduction for as little as $5 per month or choose to make a single contribution. With an annual gift total of $100 or more, you will receive an OSU Family Fund t-shirt!
How do I contribute? You can arrange for a payroll deduction at the Family Fund Luncheon or by contacting Institutional Advancement. You may also contribute by check (payable to the OSU Foundation) at the luncheon or in the Institutional Advancement Office, AD200 B & C.
How can I start a payroll deduction? Complete a simple card, available through Institutional Advancement, indicating the dollar amount you want to give each month and the department or program where you want your money to be used.
Do other campus contributions count? There are many ways people support OSU-Oklahoma City besides gifts through the Family Fund. Examples include direct contributions to student organizations and bake sales. We encourage you to continue these activities. However, only gifts made through the OSU Foundation can be counted toward participation in the Family Fund.
Can I choose how my contribution is used? Yes. The OSU Foundation has already set up 65 funds that benefit OSU-Oklahoma City. Every academic division and many departments have an equity, as well as many other projects and programs. (Please see back cover for a listing.)
Once I start a payroll deduction, can I change or stop it? Yes. Simply indicate the change you would like to make on a new payroll deduct card and submit it to the Office of Institutional Advancement.
How does my support affect fund raising for OSU-Oklahoma City? Individuals and businesses contributing to the University often ask, “How many of the employees at OSU-Oklahoma City contribute to your programs?” The success of employee giving (i.e., the Family Fund) allows us to give a positive answer, therefore, strengthening our development efforts.
Lectureship Funds Lectureships provide the opportunity to bring guest speakers on campus to interact with students, faculty and staff and to provide continuing education opportunities for our students, faculty, alumni and the community. Endowed lectureships strengthen academic programs, lend credibility to course offerings and are key to developing partnerships that assists OSU-Oklahoma City in providing a quality work force. In addition to being invaluable educational and recruiting tools, lectureships bring distinction to our community and our institution.
Division/Department Funds Division and department funds are often used to supplement budget needs and provide the financial resources necessary to ensure OSU-Oklahoma City’s high level of educational quality.
General Unrestricted Fund The OSU-Oklahoma City Excellence Fund is used at the President’s discretion to meet needs that benefit the campus as a whole.
