ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Concurrently Enrolled High School Student Requirements

To be admitted as a concurrently-enrolled student he/she must be able to satisfy all 15 curricular requirements as well as requirements for high school graduation no later than the spring of his/her senior year. He/she must also meet the performance requirements listed below.

 

Performance Requirements:

Seniors:
ACT ≥ 19 or
SAT ≥ 900 or
3.0 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

 

Juniors:
ACT ≥ 21 or
SAT ≥ 980 or
3.5 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

 

Home Study or Unaccredited High School
Concurrent students who are receiving instruction at home or from an unaccredited high school must be 17 years old for seniors or 16 years old for juniors.

 

Performance Requirements:
Seniors
: ACT ≥ 19 or SAT ≥ 900
Juniors: ACT ≥ 21 or SAT ≥ 980

 

COURSE PLACEMENT

To help ensure that the student possesses the skills necessary to be successful in college, he/she must have a minimum 19 ACT subject score in reading to enroll in any collegiate course. Additionally, he/she must have a minimum 19 ACT subject score in English, mathematics, and/or science reasoning to enroll in courses with those requirements.

MIN 19 ACT IN READING & ENGLISH:

English Composition Psychology
American Government Sociology
History Intro to Speech
 

MIN 19 ACT IN READING:
Basic computer classes
Personal Finance

 

MIN 19 ACT IN READING & MATH:
College Algebra
Principles of Biology
General Physical Science

 

Concurrently-admitted high school students will not be allowed to enroll in any remedial/developmental courses designed to remove high school curricular or basic academic deficiencies.
