Certified Nurse Aide Training

Certified Nurse Aide Training

If you want to pursue Certified Nurse Aide Training, OSU-OKC offers you two options: FREE option and PAYING option.

FREE OPTION:
You may attend the instruction for FREE provided you agree to work in a long-term care facility that accepts Sooner Care for at least 12-months during the 24-month period after your training. This is our most popular option as most of our graduates already plan to work in a long-term care facility and welcome the opportunity to obtain the information for free.

PAYING OPTION:
Those who chose to pay the $360 plus other related fees will not have any obligations after the class. Both options will give you the same training as described below.

Students receive quality OSU training while being prepared to complete the state’s nurse aide competency examination. Training focuses on communicating and interacting effectively with patients, assisting patients in maximum functional independence, observing patient rights and applying proper body mechanics in bed making, lifting, and turning patients.
