OSU-Oklahoma City’s Veterans Services hosted a Veterans Day Reception on Nov. 11 on campus. The event was a success with nearly 40 attendants, which included OSU-OKC veteran students, their families, staff, faculty and proud civilians.
"The interaction was heartwarming,” said Loretta Hatchett, OSU-OKC veterans coordinator. “I saw a lot of hand shaking and stories shared. There was good-hearted teasing between the different branches of the military.”
Veterans of the Korean, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq wars from various branches of the military were present.
“A common bond of comrade and appreciation was shared by all,” Hatchett said. “One of the Vietnam War veterans that attended came by the next day to personally thank OSU-Oklahoma City for the reception.”
