OSU-OKC Awards Spring Enrollment Sweepstakes Winner

Katherine Montfort was recently named the OSU-Oklahoma City Spring Enrollment Sweepstakes winner. The Oklahoma City native was awarded 12 free tuition credit hours and one $500 Bookstore gift card, which are the prizes for all lucky students who are randomly selected for the enrollment sweepstakes each semester.

Montfort is currently studying nurse science with aspirations of becoming a labor and delivery nurse specializing in lactation.

“I want to ultimately become a lactation consultant to help breastfeeding mothers,” Montfort explains. “I have a four-month-old daughter and it was important to me that I exclusively breastfeed her.”

Winning the sweepstakes has been a “blessing” to Montfort as she will be able to spend more time with her daughter rather than work while being a full-time student.

Montfort’s advice for current students is to pursue college only when they are ready.

OSU-OKC offers several scholarship opportunities and financial aid for new and current students. For more information, visit www.osuokc.edu/financialaid or call (405) 945-8646.
