OSU-OKC President Jerry Carroll recently announced Dr. Teri Ferguson, Arts & Sciences division head and associate professor, as recipient of the Pride in OSU-Oklahoma City Award. The award is given to staff and faculty who exceed expectations in their work and show a true, ongoing commitment to this institution.
“Teri has consistently exceeded expectations during her 16 years with OSU-Oklahoma City, first as an adjunct instructor teaching English composition, then as Humanities department head,” Dr. Carroll said. “Throughout the last year and a half, Teri’s contribution to our campus has been particularly significant.”
When preparations began for the upcoming Higher Learning Commission/North Central Association accreditation visit, she signed on for the critical role as self-study editor. Guiding faculty, staff and student committee members through the self-study process, she has coordinated more than 200 pages of input on OSU-OKC policies and programs into a coherent, consistent document.
This past spring Teri added the responsibilities and challenges of interim division head for the Arts and Sciences division, in addition to her ongoing duties as associate division head/faculty member. Recently named division head of Arts and Sciences, she has continued to approach many vital duties with a persistent “can do” attitude, always professional and optimistic.
Dr. Ferguson is truly an asset to OSU-OKC. Join the campus in congratulating her as our October 2009 Pride in OSU-Oklahoma City Award recipient.
