JEK Hort CenterWelcome to the John E. Kirkpatrick Horticulture Center

The John E. Kirkpatrick Horticulture Center at OSU-Oklahoma City is one of the finest horticultural education facilities in the country.

The facility is situated on 40 acres, carefully planned and planted with demonstration gardens for flowers, fruits and vegetables, and tree and shrub collections, which serve as outdoor classrooms. Most of the plant materials in the gardens are marked to allow visitors to identify plants as they stroll through them. Currently, specific garden areas of the Kirkpatrick Horticulture Center include the Path of Life Rose Garden, the Sensational Garden, the Community Garden, the Butterfly Garden, and the Tree and Shrub Arboretum.

The greenhouse range is filled with the most advanced heating and cooling equipment available and provides students with access to the latest in production technology.

A Turfgrass Management Training Center, which includes a five-hole teaching and demonstration golf course and soccer field, provides the latest techniques in turf management to students.

The Horticulture Center also hosts the OSU-OKC Farmers Market. This year-round market features 100% Oklahoma grown produce, meats, dairy, plants and flowers.
