A Bit of History
| 1961 | August 28, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City was originally founded as Oklahoma State University Technical Institute as a branch campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. |
| 1961 | September 14, classes began for 92 students in the Oklahoma City University Loeffler Building. |
| 1962 | Our university found its first home in the unused Whittier Elementary School on N.W. 10th Street and Kentucky Avenue. |
| 1970 | OSU Technical Institute held its first commencement with 60 graduates. |
| 1974 | We moved locations to our current site at N.W. 10th and Portland Avenue. |
| 1975 | The North Central Association accredited OSU Technical Institute separately from OSUStillwater. |
| 1990 | We changed our name from OSU Technical Institute to Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City |
| 2010 | The North Central Association will evaluate OSU-OKC. |
| 2011 | OSU-OKC’s 50-year anniversary. |

- OSU-OKC is a branch campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

- OSU-OKC offers one bachelor in technology degree, 34 associate in applied science programs, seven associate of science programs, six certificate programs and a variety of developmental non-credit education courses.
- Over 90 classes are offered on-line; 37% of our student population takes advantage of this opportunity.
- Classes are offered days, nights, weekends, on-line, via Cox Cable, interactive TV and on DVD.
